House

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

I am in the process of buying a house in Cordova. I close on November 16th, maybe a week earlier.

25322 178th Ave. N.
Cordova, IL 61242

The house sits on two acres with no neighbors to speak of. There are mature Pine trees that block out most of the road, a neighboring field, and part of the field in the back. There is a 27 ft dia. above ground pool in the backyard, it is no “Flamingo,” but it will do for now. As you walk in the front door, on your left is a closet, and on your right is the 19X14 Living Room with the current owners’ furniture in it. To the left of the Living Room, is a 12X10 Dining Room. To the left from there is an entrance to the 18X11.5 Kitchen that can also be accessed from the main entrance by going straight instead of going through the Living Room. From the Kitchen, you can see the sliding glass doors that go to the backyard, and you can see down into the lower level 13X22 Family Room where there is a wood burning fireplace. You would take a left down the stairs after coming in the main entrance to get to the lower level Family Room. There is also a set of stairs that leads to the upper level of the house. The first door on the left is the 10X7 Main Bath. It is the only “Full Bath” in the house. I didn’t take a pic of the shower/bath tub. The blue sink is my favorite. The first door on the right is a 10X10 Bedroom, and the next door on the right is a 10.5X11 Bedroom. The last door on the left is the 12.5X13.5 Master Bedroom. The Master Bedroom has three closets and a 7X5 3/4 Bath Master Bathroom with another blue sink. Back down the stairs, to the main level, and down some more to the lower level. If you keep left at the bottom of the stairs, you will make your way into the 15X11 Laundry/Utility Room, and behind that is another 3/4 Bath. If you head back to the lower level family room, you will see another set of stairs leading to the basement. The first door on the left is a 7.5X8 partially finished Office. The door on the right is another 9.5X11 Office/Bedroom. If you go straight through the hall from the stairs, it opens up to an 18X25 Rec. Room where I plan to support it differently to move those posts out, and put in a Pool Table. I will have a Ping Pong Table down there for now. That’s about it for the house. They are leaving the Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Washer, and Dryer with the house so that’s nice too. The thing I like most is the yard, and the fact that my neighbors are fields. If you look right out of the driveway you see this. If you look left you see this. I hate the majority of people so this is perfect.

Why I Hate Wal-Mart

Why I Hate Wal-Mart,
A wasted 15 minutes by Richard Ford:

Yesterday, November 7th 2005, Amanda and I walked into Wal-Mart to pick up her film that she had developed. For those of you that don’t remember, developing film was a routine humans had to go through prior to digital photography to enjoy a “frozen” piece of time. While Amanda went to pick up and pay for her pictures, I naturally gravitated towards the video game section. It was here that I decided, “Wal-Mart, that is the last straw.” I had heard that Wal-Mart had a demo unit of the XBOX 360. As I turned the corner to the video game section, I see that there is an eleven to twelve year old retarded girl playing it. No big deal, I thought, she’s retarded, how long can that last? Well, as you see in this pic, the young man in the Michigan coat was told “GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!!!” by his less than understanding mother. I also walked away for about 5 minutes and when I returned, sure enough, same level same blank stare but now she is shaking the shit out of the controller like she was strangling it, and making this awful Schiavo/Master P UNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGHHHHHHHHH moan. (5 min. later.) So I didn’t get to try out the new XBOX, and I got to have scary retarded girl nightmares last night. They really need to put out Atari 2600 demos.

This Week in no News

Monday, June 13th, 2005

No news is good news I guess. This summer has been nothing short of busy as all hell. Between work, the every other day pool parties, bars, softball, bike, and general outdoor awesomeness, I have no time to sleep. Somehow my body has adjusted to five hours of sleep per night. This Friday, June 17th, is the 25th annual celebration of my birth. We will be starting the evening at QC Live for the Tech N9ne show which doors are at 6:30 for those who want to see the most slept on MC of this time. After that, who knows. Probably the pool for the remainder of the evening. It is an all ages show, so it looks like more warm triple shots of Rumplemintz at Big 10 before the show. Peace ya punk bitches. I’ll see you all Friday, or before.
